INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

THE SOUL OF EUROPE – At the Threshold of a New Society The conference of the section for social science in cooperation with Academy for social art Tabor, in Prague from Th., August 21 to Su., August 24, 2008.

Entrance fee

Total costs of the conference inclusive all conference costs, meals (breakfast, coffee break, lunch and dinner) and overnight accommodation: 266 €
Contribution per participant: 80 – 300 €
Minimum contribution (not including accommodation): 80 €

The pre-conference

The pre-conference: 20 – 21 August, guide in Prague and a trip to Karlštejn. The guidance in Karlstejn is booked in advance for 60 participants (45 German and 15 Englishlanguage). Please announce as soon as possible.

Price: 90 euro inclusive. 2 overnight accommodations, 2 x breakfast and 2 x dinner, ticket for Karlštejn including entrance and guide.

Confirmation, payment modes

Invoice: After receipt of the registration you will receive a confirmation with invoice and further informations.

Accommodation

The participants in the pre-conference are accommodated in the Jedlička home in Vyšehrad, directly at the location. The others are accommodated in student homes, which are within walking distance (or to reach by metro). There are mostly 2-3 beds per room.

Food

Food will be served directly at the place by a catering company.

Cancellation of application form

Application is possible to cancel by post 14 days before the conference. You will get your payment back. If you make your cancellation later, you will get back half of the conference costs and whole amount of the money for food and accomodation. If you don’t make your cancellation or make the cancellation in the day of the konference, all your payment will not be payed back. There is a right for you to have an alternace member – without any changes of the price for the conference.

We would like to try to regard and handle our own financial situation in a different way. The costs of the conference will amount to approx. EUR 266 for each participant. This amount contains the conference costs, meals and accommodation. But we would like social reality to be reflected in money matters. That means that each participant could invite someone else, or could cover the conference costs for someone else, or pay less than total costs are. That is placed into the liberty of each participant – but on the other hand it is also necessary, for the conference to take place. All lecturers and all seminar convenors carry their own costs and receive no fees.

We have the confidence that we can also set new social impulses in these financial affairs.
